The Jordan Morris Foundation has become an incredibly meaningful part of the support we offer to newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes patients and their families at Seattle Children’s. Through each JMO bag, families are introduced to Jordan’s personal journey—offering a powerful reminder that a diagnosis does not limit a child’s future. His story provides hope, connection, and a sense of possibility during what can feel like an overwhelming time.

In addition to his story, JMO bags include thoughtfully selected care items that promote movement and physical activity—helping children begin to understand their bodies through a lens of strength, capability, and wellness. This reinforces a more comprehensive and empowering approach to health, where exercise and play are seen as supportive tools in diabetes management.

For many children, seeing someone who is living fully and achieving their dreams with diabetes helps shift their perspective from fear to motivation. For parents, it offers reassurance that there is light ahead. These moments of connection help families feel less alone and more supported as they begin navigating life with diabetes.
